Melissa Cope is a New York City based freelance makeup artist. From a very young age, she was exposed to the art of beauty from spending most of her childhood on stage as a dancer. Every rehearsal, recital, performance, and competition required her to sit through numerous makeup applications. As she grew older, she became more interested in the beauty aspect than the actual performace. Her education began at the Make-Up Designory (MUD) in SoHo, New York, where she completed the Multimedia program. She is trained in beauty, fashion, film/tv, and special effects make-up artistry. Melissa started her career in short films and is looking to expand her talent by working on various projects in the film and fashion industries using beauty and special effects.
